We go through the content a site already has, decide what to keep, merge, rewrite or retire, and plan who owns each page and when it gets reviewed. When the words need a professional writer, we bring in partners who are writers first.

Unifying two websites

Vibrant Communities Calgary and Enough for All ran as separate websites, and visitors could not work out how the two organizations related. Both sites carried substantive content, so deleting one was never the answer.

We audited both sites and decided page by page what to keep, merge, rewrite or retire. Then we rebuilt the content as one structure, with six content types and a hierarchy that shows visitors how Vibrant Communities Calgary and Enough for All relate.

We audited two sites page by page and rebuilt them as one structure that shows how the two organizations relate.

Deciding what stays

Most sites carry more content than their audiences can use. We weigh each page against what people arrive looking for, and every page that stays gets an owner and a review date. Without those two things, a site drifts back to its old size.

Strata Capital Partners wanted the site to avoid industry jargon almost entirely, so we drafted the copy and their team edited it for substance and regulatory language.

When the words need a writer

We write to the structure, and we are comfortable drafting copy ourselves, as we did for Strata Capital Partners. When a project needs a professional writer, we bring in partners who are writers first.
