A dashboard for teachers

Classroom Champions' educators reached their lesson and unit plans through a dashboard. It was slow and hard to navigate, and once the new marketing site and brand launched, it looked nothing like the organization it belonged to.

We redesigned it around how teachers use it. Lessons and units sit on cards that can be browsed at a glance, in Classroom Champions' own colours. Classes move through units at different paces, so progress statistics sit on the dashboard itself and show what a class has finished and what comes next. Community updates and a feed of printable classroom materials sit up front, and the Classroom Champions team maintains those materials themselves.

What a dashboard replaces

A dashboard is worth building when it takes work away from somewhere else, such as a spreadsheet someone keeps up by hand or a status email that goes out every week. We put current data, sensible defaults and the actions a team takes most often on the same screen, so people can act on what they see without switching tools.
