Classroom Champions · Teacher dashboard

A dashboard built for how teachers actually work

After Classroom Champions launched their new marketing site and refined brand identity, the gap between that experience and their internal dashboard tools became hard to ignore. The existing dashboard let educators access lesson and unit plans, but it was slow, hard to navigate, and looked nothing like the organization they'd come to represent. A redesign was overdue.

We approached the problem as one of clarity first. The card-based interface we designed makes it straightforward to browse lessons and units at a glance, pulling Classroom Champions' color palette into the experience to bring the dashboard in line with their public-facing brand.

Tracking progress is central to how teachers use the platform. Classes move through units at different paces, and educators need to know, at a glance, what's been completed and what's still ahead. We surfaced progression statistics directly on the dashboard, so that information is always present rather than buried in individual lesson views. We also designed a set of tiered challenge badges, in Gold, Silver, and Bronze, bringing a touch of the Olympic spirit that defines Classroom Champions into the interface itself.

The old platform functioned mainly as a static content repository. We wanted the redesigned dashboard to feel like a place teachers would return to, not just a filing cabinet they opened when they needed something. Community update sections and auto-updating post feeds sit up front, keeping educators connected to what's happening across the program. A dedicated resource feed gives teachers direct access to printable classroom materials, organized so the Classroom Champions team can maintain them independently and teachers can find them without wading through lesson content.

The result is a tool built for how teachers actually work, with manual control for custom content, but plenty of automation to keep the system fresh and lively without constant updates.
