A bold digital home for a world-class consumer insights platform

Since 2021
Classroom Champions is an international nonprofit that has connected over 50,000 underserved students annually with Olympic, Paralympic, NCAA, and professional athletes as mentors since 2009. Through their innovative programs, students develop essential social, emotional, and academic skills.
In partnership with Classroom Champions, we embarked on a comprehensive digital transformation to expand their reach, deepen student engagement, and drive measurable impact in classrooms around the world.
After Classroom Champions launched their new marketing site and refined brand identity, the gap between that experience and their internal dashboard tools became hard to ignore. The existing dashboard let educators access lesson and unit plans, but it was slow, hard to navigate, and looked nothing like the organization they'd come to represent. A redesign was overdue.
We approached the problem as one of clarity first. The card-based interface we designed makes it straightforward to browse lessons and units at a glance, pulling Classroom Champions' color palette into the experience to bring the dashboard in line with their public-facing brand.

Tracking progress is central to how teachers use the platform. Classes move through units at different paces, and educators need to know, at a glance, what's been completed and what's still ahead. We surfaced progression statistics directly on the dashboard, so that information is always present rather than buried in individual lesson views. We also designed a set of tiered challenge badges, in Gold, Silver, and Bronze, bringing a touch of the Olympic spirit that defines Classroom Champions into the interface itself.

The old platform functioned mainly as a static content repository. We wanted the redesigned dashboard to feel like a place teachers would return to, not just a filing cabinet they opened when they needed something. Community update sections and auto-updating post feeds sit up front, keeping educators connected to what's happening across the program. A dedicated resource feed gives teachers direct access to printable classroom materials, organized so the Classroom Champions team can maintain them independently and teachers can find them without wading through lesson content.
The result is a tool built for how teachers actually work, with manual control for custom content, but plenty of automation to keep the system fresh and lively without constant updates.
When Classroom Champions approached us in 2021, their Webflow site had accumulated years of plugins and dependencies to the point where routine content edits carried real risk of breaking the site entirely. For a small marketing team focused on running programs, that's an unsustainable situation. They needed a website that worked as expected and could grow with their content.

We built a refreshed site on Prismic CMS and Next.js, migrating their athlete imagery and existing pages into a custom-modeled content structure. Years of content found an organized new home, and a modular block library gave the team the flexibility to build and update pages without touching fonts, colors, or layout manually. The system allows some flexibility with colour, but exact hex codes don’t have to be selected manually each time a colour is used on the site as the system handles those details automatically.

We standardized the existing digital brand around a single typeface, Work Sans, retiring Oswald to sharpen consistency. Their existing color palette had the right ingredients, so rather than introduce new colors, we developed tonal scales from what was already there, creating room for visual nuance without competing combinations pulling the interface in different directions.
The site launched in February 2022. The Classroom Champions team can now manage their content with confidence, leaving more time for the work that actually matters.
