Brand implementation
Brand · Build

We carry brand identities into the places people meet them, from the website to document templates and print, whether we designed the identity or another studio did.
Three communities on an existing site
Calgary is planning three new communities on city-owned land beside Red Line stations. CMLC needed a program hub and three community pages live on their existing website before public engagement opened, while Resonance designed the program's name, logo and graphic system.
We carried Resonance's identity into the site. That meant deciding how the logo resolves as a page opens, how section themes hold the palette and how a site boundary sits over an aerial photograph. We built a transition that animates the logo on load, and CMLC later used it as the reference for their own TOC video series. The pages went live on May 15, 2026, built from modules CMLC's team switches on as each community moves from one phase to the next.

A neutral identity for a shared toolkit
The University of Calgary's Office of Global Learning came to us needing to share a library of training modules and curricula with international education staff at institutions across Alberta. Their team asked for a clean design with minimal animation and no institutional allegiance, so the toolkit would read as belonging to the province's post-secondary institutions collectively.
Together we built the Alberta Post-Secondary Global Learning Toolkit, and we designed a neutral identity for it. When the scope grew midway through the project, we carried the same visual language into digital document templates and printable infographics for offline and print use.

Identities we designed and ones we didn't
We implement our own identities and identities from other studios, and the work is much the same either way. Most of it is deciding how the identity behaves once it is in use, on a live website, in a document template or on a printed page, and then building those pieces so the client's team can keep using them.
