Land acknowledgement
Built by Field works from Mohkínstsis, where the Elbow river meets the Bow, Guts'ists'i to the Tsuut'ina, Wîchîspa Oyade to the Îyârhe Nakoda, Otos-Kwunee to the Métis, Calgary in English. This is the traditional territory of the Niitsitapi, the Blackfoot Confederacy, the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations, of the Tsuut'ina Nation, and of the Îyârhe Nakoda First Nations: Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney. It is also the homeland of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, Nose Hill District 5 and Elbow District 6. Together these are the peoples of Treaty 7, signed at Blackfoot Crossing in 1877, an agreement we live and work inside.
